The 2nd annual FREE Celebrate Urban Nature event was a day to remember- wow!
Over 500 people came to Magnuson Community Center to celebrate spring and the natural world around us by attending a free nature concert, family-friendly presentations about Bees, Owls, and Marine Mammals, hands-on activities at the "Nature Explorers Lab", birdhouse building, plus nature carnival games, environmental booths, and more....
The grand finale was a joyous nature parade down to the Children's Garden for the re-dedication of the Gray Whale Garden and its brand new mosaic eye!
Everyone had a big hip-hip-hooray and sang Happy Birthday together to the new eye, then the "pirate eye patch" was removed and the new eye unveiled. It was spectacular!
